“I felt so seen and appreciated by Jennifer. She noticed and pointed out things that made me feel more confident as a mother. That gave me the ability to help my son, and then he progressed so fast!”

Radically Respectful
Parent Coaching
What does radically respectful family coaching look like with us?
We believe that parenting in today’s society is a tremendous responsibility. You need support. We recognize all that you do to raise the next generation and want to support your efforts - whatever they are.
We will help you grow in the directions you want to grow - outside of and within any pressures from society, standardized developmental frameworks, extended family, fellow parents.
We can meet with you in your natural environment, including virtually. We can schedule therapy anytime that works for you - weekends, evenings, during naptime. The possibilities are endless! Virtual care also allows you to access these specialized services even if you do not live in NC’s Triangle region.
We can help with…
Constructing your parenting mission, vision, and values
Identifying and reaching parenting goals
Supporting growth of radically respectful practices within your family relationships
Creating a culture of literacy in your home
Cultivating healthy media literacy
Analyzing and modifying language and books in your family’s environment to deconstruct implicit biases

Speech, Language & Literacy Therapy
What does radically respectful therapy with us look like?
We work to find out what pain points parents and children are experiencing and move to help with them immediately. In order to do this most effectively we embrace flexible family-driven scheduling including the ability to come when and wherever you need us most - at bedtime, during daycare drop off, at playtime or meals, during your morning routine, at playdates with peers, etc.
We give tools to parents in real-time to implement immediately and in between sessions (this is where real growth happens!)
We prioritize your child’s comfort and learning potential by use the toys, books, and materials that your family already has and meet in your child’s natural environments (home, other care settings, the park, the library, the grocery store) - eliminating the need to recreate pretend scenarios/attempt to mimic real-world environments and instead work with/within the real thing!
We meet kids where they are (physically, emotionally, developmentally) each and every time we meet, recognizing that children (like adults!) exist in different states of alertness, energy levels, regulation, motivation, etc.
We honor the direction children want to go within each session and over time, including the child’s right to refuse to participate, and are fluid and flexible in integrating skill building into whatever the child leads us to do.
We work from a strengths-based rather than a deficit perspective and do not use behavioristic techniques (sticker charts, work for reward, time-out, etc)

Pricing
We participate in equitable pricing with accessible, sustainable, and equitable rates for families to pick from. Equitable rates are for people who have greater access to financial resources (including health insurance and ESA+ grants as applicable). This rate helps redistribute wealth to the community by supporting accessible access rates, covering long term operation costs, and ensuring Village Growth Network facilitators are compensated for their time and expertise. Sustainable rates cover the basic costs of the event, class, or service. Accessible rates are for people who have less access to financial resources. Tiered rates and mutual aid agreements are set to grow our community's access and connection to resources and support and are variable based on a person's current access to financial resources.
Equitable pricing is rooted in trust and compassion between facilitators, families, and the community at large. We encourage families to honor their own financial health, which no one else can accurately measure.
Equitable price tiers for therapy and coaching:
Equitable rate - $175
Sustainable rate - $150
Accessible rate - $100
We do not bill insurance directly. We provide a superbill to allow you to bill your insurance for out-of-network care.
We are an NCSEAA (ESA+ grant) approved provider.
We accept health saving account or flexible savings account payments.
We consider flexible and creative payment agreements including trades of services. Please contact us to discuss your individualized payment.
